Discussions over the raw unfinished work were critical because they allowed us to exchange our views and carve out valuable knowledge.
The Backstory
Printing documents just to capture a customer signature is not only completely outdated in today’s tablet-pervasive everyday life but is also a great waste of time and money.
More than that, paper handling is very time-consuming for mobile sales and service personnel and thus reduces the possibilities for efficient customer communication, which in turn limits upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Modern e-signature-based digital document processes are now geared up to remedy the situation, as they are able to close the final gap in the attempt to go fully paperless even when meeting clients on the go.

Who needs ZorroSign to sign their digital documents?
I set the criteria for people that recognised the need to digitally sign their documents and had previously tried out a few solutions.
Most of which were also enabled with mobile sales or service delivery scenario.
This allowed me to hold a couple of interviews with potential users.
I approached the interviews by asking these people about how they handled biometric e-signature documents.
I was curious as to why e-signing digital documents was not more of a widespread practice.
"A handwritten signature on a document is accepted world-wide as
an indication of legal or social contractual agreement.
This will not change for a long time, especially when in-person signing is required."
My main aim was to understand what their motivations, triggers and abilities were.
From this, I hoped to gain insight into the basic decision-making process as they figured out what will be perfect for mobile e-signing, as they give users the closest user experience to
real paper as users read, edit, and sign the document directly on the screen.

The quick overview of your documents helps you speed up the transaction process.

The handwritten digital signature is the closest experience to the physical signature on paper. This type of signature is much safer. It is captured through a touch screen using your finger or pen, or via a sign pad device. The system captures all distinct characteristics including shape, speed, pen pressure, stroke and timing information as the identification of the signatory, making it easy to examine in order to prove validity. This type of electronic signature requires the signer to use their personal password to create the signature. It is a simple click-to-sign experience that does not require a touch screen or additional hardware. A unique digital certificate is encrypted into the document assuring its extreme security.
Working in an interdisciplinary team environment and with various stakeholders in mind proved to be exceptionally valuable. It pushed each of us to stay as flexible as possible, to maintain our key goals and last not least to overcome the most significant challenge we identified throughout the process: to make people trust digital signatures and to encourage them to use the solution for all their transaction.
